CyBio® Replicator
Overview
Microplate Copying and Reformatting
The liquid handling core of the CyBi® Replicator is the 10-position deck of the CyBio® Disk with two pipetting heads. An integrated rotating arm, stackers and software tools for parallel processing form a high throughput compound management platform for plate replicating and plate reformatting.
The CyBio® Replicator ensures efficient preparation of assays plates with its quick copying and reformatting functions. Its reliablity, compact construction and easy handling fully automate processing of a large number of microplates. The copying of compound paltes is essential in assay preparation and compound management.
The CyBio® Replicator transfers compounds from storage plates into multiple assay plates in equal or higher density formats. A stacker capacity of up to 500 microplates and two 96 and/or 384 tip pipettor heads operating in parallel are included with the workstation. Optional upgrades include integration of additional instruments such as automatic labeling, barcode reading or sealing.
- Full walk-away automation due to capacity for up to 500 microplates
- High throughput through parallel operation Reliability based on CyBio® Ways microplate transport
- Individual expandability with e.g. barcode reader, print and apply or plate sealing

Accessories
Stackers
Efficient microplate storage with stackers enables unattended and fully automatic processing of large batches of plates and consequently increases your walk-away time.
Tip wash station
By means of these modules, tips with pump-supported (active) inflow and drain in the 96 and 384 format can be washed automatically. Optimized washing cycles prevent the formation of bubbles, and reduce the rest concentration of contamination down to 0.003%. A technical note about the performance of the tip wash station you can download at this page: Applications/ Liquid Classes.
Barcode reader
The compact high resolution barcode reader DS 2100A can easily be integrated into a variety of CyBio systems like CyBi®-Well , CyBi®-Disk , CyBi®-Replicator or CyBi®-Screen-machine. Reliable barcode reading is essential for the tracking of microplates. Barcode labels can be read on both the long and short side of a microplate.
Reservoirs
Our reagent reservoirs are designed for the storage of liquids, such as buffers or DMSO, and are filled automatically via pumps and sensors. Special reservoirs are separated into different divisions in rows or columns. In this way, different reagents can be stored at the same time, and controls can be provided in a reservoir.
Adapters
Adapters enable the integration of almost all third party microplates into CyBio instruments.
Heating and cooling devices
The CyBio Reagent Cooling System is the fully automated solution for the safe and comfortable handling of temperature sensitive reagents, and secures the temperature stability of enzymes, proteins and aqueous solutions in temperature sensitive assays. The system can be equipped with a reagent reservoir, and additionally with a reagent bottle if a high quantity of substances is to be cooled.
Peristaltic pumps
The pump is attached to a stacker or to a pump module, and serves for the transportation of liquids. Depending on the equipment, one or two peristaltic pumps can be attached to the module for the supply or removal of liquids.
