Analytik Jena Supports Workshop for the Blind and the Jena Youth Home “Friedensberg” with a Donation
Jena, Germany, September 3, 2014 – Analytik Jena AG is supporting the Jena youth home “Friedensberg” with a donation of products manufactured by people with disabilities worth EUR 1,000. The charity project initiated by the Agency for Social Cooperations uses the strategy “one donation, twice the help.” The project donates not money but rather products manufactured by people with disabilities. “With this approach, a donation helps in two ways: Once in the form of orders for handicapped workshops and secondly by donating high-quality goods to social organizations,” explains Elisabeth Leipholz, owner of the Agency for Social Cooperations, which invented this donation concept.
The Jena youth home “Friedensberg” is one of the social organizations participating in the charity project. Due to a fire in December 2013, one complete floor of the facility was no longer available for use. Analytik Jena AG is supporting youth home by donating high-quality everyday items. “We are very thankful for the generous donation from Analytik Jena. We decided to participate in this project concept because it offers help to not only us, but to the handicapped workshops as well,” explains Wenke Brosch, director of the youth home “Friedensberg.”
