Sequencing Gels

The Biometra Sequencing Gel Electrophoresis Systems are well known in many laboratories throughout the world and can be regarded as a standard in this field. They have an internal aluminum plate for even heat distribution and are suited for vertical polyacrylamid gel separation of oligo- and polynucleotides, manual nucleic acid sequencing, genotyping and polymorphic studies.

Faster migration in the center of the gel is avoided (smiling effect) resulting in a straight migration front. The systems have a patented internal drain system to release the upper buffer volume to the lower chamber, which can then be removed for safe buffer disposal. Many accessories for gel casting and sample application are included in the systems. A broad range of additional analytical and preparative combs is available.
