Identifying pathogens is at the heart of veterinary diagnostics, and successful identification requires nucleic acids in the pathogen to first be extracted from the starting material in question. A good yield and high quality of the isolated DNA or RNA are critical for the reliable detection of pathogens. For the automated extraction of bacterial DNA, viral DNA or RNA, Analytik Jena now offers universal innuPREP AniPath kits. These allow for body fluids such as serum, plasma and cerebrospinal fluid as well as whole blood, nasopharyngeal samples and tissue samples as starting material. Stool samples are also suitable as base materials for purification of DNA or RNA using innuPREP AniPath kits.

InnuPREP AniPath kits have already proven their ability on manyoccasions. They have been used with great success for extracting the nucleic acids of the bluetongue virus, influenza virus, porcine circovirus 2, African and classical European swine fever virus as well as Mycobacterium avium, Mycobacterium paratuberculosis, Chlamydia spp., and Toxoplasma gondii.

The innuPREP AniPath kit is available in several different versions: The innuPREP AniPath DNA/RNA kit IPC16, optimized for the InnuPure C16 touch, is perfect for medium sample processing needs. The InnuPure C16 touch automated extractor concurrently processes up to 16 samples with the aid of prefilled reagents. Only minimum manual effort is needed. The innuPREP AniPath DNA/RNA Kit – KFFLX is optimized for the automated extraction of pathogens’ DNA and RNA by using the KingFisher FLEX system.
