Chinese Ambassador Visits Analytik Jena AG

Jena, Germany, January 18, 2019 — Shi Mingde, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Germany, also visited Analytik Jena as part of a trip to Jena. He spoke with CEO Ulrich Krauss about the development of the Company in China, significant growth potential, and business drivers in the field of laboratory analysis.

Analytik Jena has a strong presence in the Chinese market for laboratory analysis. The laboratory specialist has around 100 employees in China. Since 2001, the Company has been represented in the segments analytical and Life Sciences instrumentation at several locations in China. "Our atomic absorption spectrometers and TOC/TN_b analyzers are mainly in great demand because it is particularly important to obtain information on the concentration of heavy metal elements, organic carbon, and nitrogen in order to determine water quality," explains Zhoa Tai, Managing Director of Analytik Jena China. He sees future market opportunities for international companies in water quality monitoring and control for water treatment.
